I’m Amy,
Modern-day medicine woman. Sound healer. Reiki Master. Ceremony holder. Space maker.
I’m the woman behind Sacred Sounds — a Yorkshire-based wellbeing practice bringing together sound, energy, ritual, ceremony and good old-fashioned human connection.
I create spaces where people can slow down, come back to themselves and feel held for a while.
Sometimes that looks like lying down under a blanket while crystal bowls wash over you. Sometimes it’s a room full of women gathering, laughing, sharing and remembering that they’re not doing life alone. Sometimes it’s Reiki and quiet one-to-one time. Sometimes it’s a woman standing at a threshold in her life, ready to honour what’s ending before she steps into what comes next.
And increasingly, it also means bringing restorative wellbeing experiences into workplaces, universities and organisations — giving people the chance to properly pause in the middle of busy lives
Different offerings, but always with the same heart.
My personal journey has lead me here through my own life experiences. At 20 years old my mother died suddenly and unexpectedly. The grief was huge, and for a long time I found ways to distract myself from what I was feeling. I did the counselling thing too. And while it had its place, I discovered something else along the way, things are felt in the body. That realisation became the beginning of a completely different chapter for me
I left the corporate world and had my first Reiki session. Something shifted, It opened the door to a whole new world of healing, ritual and self-discovery. Then came sound. And then more learning, more teachers, more experiences and a whole lot of going down the rabbit hole.
I've explored inner child work, womb and ancestral work, ceremony, energy healing, sound and plant medicines, weaving many of these practices into my own life along the way.
Am I fully healed?! - pah! no! I'm human - I'm still growing, unraveling and learning.
I'm not here pretending to have all the answers. I'm here to create the kind of space where you can hear your own.
At the heart of everything I do is connection. From intimate one-to-one Reiki and Held Closing Ceremonies, to sound baths, women's circles and retreats, to bespoke wellbeing experiences for workplaces, universities and organisations.
The format might change but the intention does not.
To create beautiful, grounding spaces where people can pause, reconnect and feel genuinely held.
